Man Mocked for Rope Bondage; “So Last Year”

A Michigan rigger is the subject of mocking and ridicule this week after performing a tie known as the “futomomo suspension.”

“He might as well have been doing a yoko,” RiggerP told The Daily Flogger, “nobody who is anybody is doing that one anymore either.”

The “futomomo,” a tie in which the bottom is suspended by a single thigh, enjoyed enormous popularity throughout most of 2013 and into 2014 but has been replaced by the “teppo” or “rifle tie,” experts told us.

“You gotta keep up,” said NawashiKevin, “otherwise people will think you are not cool or hip. These ties are only good for about a year and then you have to start doing what everyone else is doing or people make fun of you. I mean not to your face, but definitely behind your back.”

According to some, there is a great debate over the correct spelling of the new tie, teppo or teppou. Many have just shorted it to “tep” or even “t,” confusing pretty much every person who reads, speaks or understands Japanese.

“We like to make it our own,” says RiggerP, “you know, copy it step by step and then rename it. Then it is ours.”
