Catholic Woman Finds BDSM Challenges Her Faith

“I know I am supposed to feel guilty about sex, but I have so much fun just getting tied up and hit with things that I am actually considering atheism,” Maggie Yablount told The Daily Flogger.

The fundamental conflict Yablount feels has been reported by many in the BDSM community.

“I’ve tied to feel the guilt and the shame,” said Kevin Cormick, “I’ve even tried to confess these things to my priest, but he wasn’t even sure it was a sin.  He just kept asking if anyone touched my penis.  When I told him no, he seemed very disappointed.  I still had to say 27 Our Fathers and 15 Hail Marys.”

Even with the punishment, Cormick felt uneasy, “I got the sense he didn’t really know what to say, like I stumped him sin-wise or something.”

Yablount’s crisis of faith runs deeper.

“I tried, with all my heart, to be ashamed of who I am, but I just kept coming back to the love and support I get from my partners and how good it all feels.  When God needs me to feel guilty, I am sure I will.  But for now, it’s playtime.”
