Mary Quint, 37, spoke forcefully at the meeting of the Oshkosh Middle School PTA. “Why do 6th graders need access to magazines like ‘Teen Bondage Sluts’ or books like ‘Spanked Sorority Girls?'” echoing questions many parents were asking about the middle school’s library.

Bob Debrovnik, 57, the school’s librarian for the past ten years is currently on administrative leave pending an investigation, but sources close to the library believe the titles were not part of the school’s holdings, but were in fact from Debrovnik’s personal collection.

“I think we all agree bondage pornography is not appropriate for middle school students or students of any age for that matter,” said School Supervisor Chuck Palz.

The local chapter of the ACLU released a statement initially supporting the librarian but later retracted the statement with a note regretting that they hadn’t looked more carefully into the incident. “Generally we try to support free speech and librarians in general, but in this case it looks like this guy is fucked and we wouldn’t touch this case with a 10 foot pole.”

Kevin Smert, 12, says he is “disappointed in the decision to remove the offending material. This is a serious blow against free speech, the first amendment, and the civil rights of all school workers.” In a telephone interview he added, “It is really important that they think these are your own words and that I am not feeding you things to say. You understand right?”
