Patrons at the restaurant “Rope Time” can now order their drinks and food with a side order of bondage.
The dining establishment, which is the first of its kind, promotes safe, sane and consensual bondage as one of its menu items. Patrons can even choose the style of tie they wish to engage in and can select from a wide variety of rope. A basic hand tie with Romanian Hemp will run the customer $9.99, while a full body tie and suspension with imported Japanese Jute (the most expensive item on the menu) goes for $39.50.
While many enjoy the bondage, some customers found it distracting.
Kim Longly, 22, says she “just came in to get a bite to eat,” not realizing it was a bondage bar. “It was really hard to eat with my hands tied behind my back. I had to actually get someone else to feed me. I mean I like bondage as much as the next girl, but next time, I think I will eat first and save the rope for dessert.”
Manager Gavin McHouten, 44, says they are “still working out some of the kinks,” but they hope to have more customers come in to experience what they have to offer. “We are still not sure,” McHouten said, “but we think we are on to something pretty special here. We just need to solve the eating without your hands problem and I think we’ll have a gold mine.”
